Our forensic laboratory allows our specialists to evaluate new, retired, or in-service rope samples. We conduct thorough forensic rope testing on wire ropes removed from service. This helps customers with “slip and cut” activities and offers a post-service assessment.

Bekaert Ropes Technology Centre has mechanical rope testing equipment that works in accordance with international standards.

We conduct destruction tests to determine a rope's actual breaking strength, along with modulus tests and load diameter data. Destructive testing methods are important for understanding the performance limits of ropes.

We also perform non-destructive (NDT) methods to assess the condition and integrity of ropes without causing any damage.
