The Bridon Tiger® 34M SPI construction is a rotation resistant rope in a 3-layer construction with synthetic fibre core. The rope is flexible and provides easy handling and installation. Bridon Tiger® 34M SPI can be used as a hoist or a balance rope. When used as a balance rope, the rope can be sheathed and plastic impregnated.

A spiral strand is a composite of multiple layers of helically twisted steel wires. Layers are spun in opposite directions providing constructional and torque stability. The use of high strength steel wires makes it a good candidate as tension member in static applications. Our proprietary Bekaert blocking compound fills the cable on the inside, reducing the impact of steel-steel contact, and adding an additional barrier against corrosion.

Bekaert’s TUFF 8 mining ropes offer effective solutions to one of the most demanding rope applications in the mining industry. Manufactured with class leading machinery at our Newcastle ropery, TUFF 8 ropes are recommended for use in dragline applications and are designed to withstand the pressure placed on them by mining equipment.
